The words go very fast too, don't think it'd be easy to sing. Having the said that the melody isn't that complicated.
Yes, the French pronunciation could suffer at that tempo.
Consequently I have worked all night to compose these alternative lyrics:
Da, da da da, da da da, da da da da da da
Da, da da da, da da da, da da da da da da
Da, da da da, da da da, da da Conn-e-ma-raaaaa!
It's actually the same lyrics as the Marseillaise, except for one word.

It's probably the most famous song about the province (albeit written by a man who was never there) and most people here have never heard of it. It was being requested in Toulouse but no-one could oblige, so I resolved to learn it before the next adventure.
Here is a link to the lyrics. On the offchance there is any of us who don't speak French yet, there is a helpful translation into another foreign tongue.
and here is the great man himself giving it socks
It is quite possibly the worst song ever written!
Hadn't heard it before myself. It's a bit cheesy alright, but in fairness he's got a great voice certainly up there with the best of his genre.

Can anyone give a rough idea as to how warm or cold it will be in Biarritz by 14 Dec?" - Trying to predict the weather here is nigh on impossible!! It could be anything from 0 degrees and sheeting rain through to a gorgeous summers day in the mid 20's ... we often have four seasons in one day in the winter so if it's concerning what to wear I would suggest bringing something warm, that way it won't be required!
That's the beauty of Biarritz and Le Paye Basque, the combination of Atlantic coast and proximity of the Pyrenees makes for some ehhh "diverse" weather patterns, even in late summer..

I dunno. I like the inexplicable, random abuse of the Welsh towards the end. Freakin peaceniks.

windsorroberts wrote: Hi there guys
We are planning on holding a reception for you (as Jakes says) this is likely to be in Red Cafe in the centre of Biarritz but we are also looking at the possibility of organising an outing (possibly to a 'Cidrerie') however we could really do with knowing the numbers travelling over from Connaught and the dates so we can work out what date / time to suggest. Would it be possible to send me an email (windsor@godirectmarketing.co.uk) or post it on here.
If you also know of others travelling who do not post on this site but might be up for an excursion, please either pass on my email address or post on here yourselves.
Currently I am one of 38 Aupa BO supporters travelling over (arriving into Galway by bus from Dublin on the Thursday 6th circa 8.30pm we anticipate and travelling back early on the Sunday morning. We are staying at the Carlton Hotel Galway City.
Look forward to meeting as many as you both in Galway and in Biarritz.
Windsorroberts
Put me down for 2.
As gaillimhabu said, If you want to plan anything, do it for late morning on Friday say about 12.00
Reasons:
1. Chance to get breakfast out of the way and get over the Thursday night hangover.
2. Couple of hours on Friday morning for anyone that wants to do some sight seeing around Biarritz.
3. If you can include lunch somewhere. (We can pay) we can get the foundation in for Friday night.
4. Get back to hotel's late afternoon (say 17.00) and give us time to get ready for the match.
Will try to get down to Galway for the Thursday night.

Landing in Biarritz Friday morning and flying back Saturday afternoon from Biarritz. More time to sleep with a hangover instead of getting a train to Bordeaux
Same flights as Pinky mentioned in the travel thread
@windsorroberts Count 2 connacht supporters in for reception/outing if it's from Friday morning
