id like to start of by saying i havent been drinking and this is from the game vs edinburgh.
i was in the clan stand for the match with my little sister today and was having a nice little chat with the guy to my left as he was asking which players were who due to all the different changes and also spoke during breaks about what was happening on the field.
anyone who knows me on here and 'real' life will know im friendly lad and could talk about rugby till the cows come home.
well anyway when duffy got injured, fetuu got ready and stood on the sideline. me being excited, i shouted 'yes! come on fetuu' and did a little clap and other aswel.
i thought i heard the guys to my left talking to me so i looked over, the elderly guy said to me 'be quiet' with i responded due to surprise with 'what?'
he said 'dont say that again'.
to my disbelieve i said 'fetuu is coming on, had few great games for tonga'. he was blanked. i asked him 'did you see his try vs scotland, he left tim visser on his ass on the ground?'
when i thought this guy couldnt be more ignorant he replyed 'my mother could of scored that'.
i stepped back and kept my mouth shut, knew well he didnt see the try. he was about 75 years old so for his mum to be doing that at 100 or so years was bullshit.
if i was dreaming, for sure i would of boxed him in the face.
there was a stag party from ulster in front of us, heavily drunk and acting the magot.
when edinburgh came out they shouted GLASGOW.
when the match started the started signing 'STAND UP FOR THE ULSTER MEN' They were even willie faloon's oven cheerleaders chanting his name most of the first half.
even when greg laidlaw was taking his first kick one of them shouted 'W*NKER'.
DID the old langer choose to say anything to them? of coarse he didnt.
while i was lying here, 10 mins ago thinking did i ever cross him before. couldnt think of anything until boom it hit me.
last year in the clan bar at a players forum, question and answers, early in the year they werent any speakers and the bar was full. i remember one of the clan members (cant remember his name, sound guy, young about 23) was going around begging people to be quiet so they could start.
he came down and spoke to two people next to me. it was this old langer from tonight. he told the clan member he was aloud to talk, public place etc.
i asked him was he not interested in listening to the questions/what the players had to say.
his answer 'sure i dont know who they are. there no good'. then when the clan memeber left he shouted 'i can talk as loud as i want'
cant remember all that was there but i remember it was johnny o connor and andrew browne, nearly sure tj anderson.
i bloodly well hope that i wont be seeing him around again any time soon the old cranky fuck.
