Don't know what you were drinking but I didn't see Poolman !!!! I saw three number 23s and two number 22s on the pitch at the same time though. Took a bit of explaining to a few Quins fans near me as to why !!! I said it was an old Celtic lucky formular. They didn't wear it though.
Fafita doesn't do it for me either.

Positives:
  • Browner got a good 60+ minute shift in, if not hugely influential.
  • Poolman got a run from bench, looked lively.
  • Loads of the young lads got game time against serious oppo, they know how much they need to improve now.
  • We have pretty much a full team to come back in i.e. Gav, Macca, Wilko, Rolocks, Nathan, Ethienne, Rodders, Parks, Murphy, Dave McShaz & Griff to come back in..

Worries:
  • Struggled badly to cope with the Heat, and the Power and Pace of Quins.
  • Lost shape defensively far to easily, enabled Quins to set up mismatches for the quicker players.
  • Flavs came on for Jason in second half but went of quickly again after taking a bang
  • Fifita looks big and strong in the jersey, but plays like an Ail player IMO. (looking to go to ground too quickly when carrying, didn't make much of an impact overall in attack or defence). May improve with games though..

Weather was nice for watching, if you were in the LV Stand otherwise Frazzle city if you were in the Ethiad....

Think its on Thursday afternoon in the Sportsground, they obviously don't want an attendance. :(

It was good experience for the guys and that's pretty much it. I know I grumbled about no home friendly this summer but if you look at our away form maybe having a few games away from the Sportsground and out of our comfortzone is exactly what we needed. Anyone have anymore details about the Munster A clash?

A weak Cardiff got smashed 78-10 by Bedford Blues, real stuff starts in two weeks time.

45-11 ft. Tough day at the office as expected but at least a debut try for Henshaw. Not much point dwelling on it, our team will look a lot different to that in 2 weeks time.

Roll on Cardiff on 1st September.

26-6 coming towards half time. No surprise really. Going to be a tough 2nd half. No comparison between the teams though Harlequins close to full strength, Connacht side with a lot of players you'd expect to see playing B&I team.

A Danny Care-less knock-on while diving over for a try as well.

The Irish Times has Cooney at 1, but Buckley at 3.

Either way, confusion abounds.

I still have no idea who played in our front row from last week.

Was tempted to travel down, but tied by other commitments.

Thats a strong Quins side, actually has me a bit worried, not to be too negative, but with the number of inexperienced players we are putting out, we would be doing well to keep it respectable and to avoid injuries.

On the flip side, a great chance for the younger members of the squad to put their hands up when this fixture comes around again in the HC.

Any other UK based Clan heading to the Stoop tomorrow?

See Quins are doing a double header with half their squad involved in a match against Championship side London Scottish kicking off early (12.15), they definitely have set out their strongest squad to face us though...
