I don't think it helped that they were delayed in getting to the stoop, the warm up was rushed and cut short. That didn't help us at all.

Yeah you're probably right, must have been the heat haze....

No probs Sea_point I must say I almost melted as well, don't know how the players felt. They played really well considering the record temperatures.

They were shagged, was talking briefly to Jason Harris-Wright afterwards and he just said the heat absolutely wrecked them early doors (and then they had to chase the game). It's a long way from Silver Strand Toto. They should just be glad they didn't have to play on the Sunday though 31c & 85%+ hunmidity (was only around 50% on Sat)...

I know it's a budgetary thing but i think it would be good for the players to get in a weeks hot weather training, especially with the warm up games in July likely to be played in Warm weather and we seem to get a game in Italy in September/Early October requiring a big adjustment from Galway weather..

My congrats to the Connacht branch for advertising the Munster A game or even making people aware of it. Sterling work as per usual.

EDIT: nevermind

Loxton was there but not entirely sure he kitted out, chap that came on has longer hair than James...

Fifita needs a bit more bite though, that's the word from inside. Massive lad, talented, but too laid back and not aggressive enough. Probably a bit like Niva Ta'auso. He's still very raw at this level though so I too am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt

Disappointing result but not surprising given the two squads for this game, at least some of the new/ young players got some game time before the start of the season

Took a bit of explaining to a few Quins fans near me as to why !!! I said it was an old Celtic lucky formular. They didn't wear it though.
Fafita doesn't do it for me either.

Definitely looked like him, came onto left wing (LV Stand side) wearing number 23 second half. Don't think there's anyone else in our squad that looks like him, particularly hairstyle....
