Wow...if a relatively harmless comment like mine almost made you delete your account, I figure it's not long before something else of little consequence sets you off again and you "almost delete" your account again.  I'm all about encouraging everyone to register an account and be an active contributor, but if you're THAT sensitive I'd recommend you go ahead and delete.

If people cannot express harmless, unmalicious opinions here and this is just a place to be a bunch of blindly optimistic "Pollyannas," then this forum will completely suck.

And who exactly made you the adjudicator on who is and who is not a supporter?  I could just as easily question your objectivity toward Jarvis in the OTHER direction.

That's it...I'm deleting my account!!!

And this post is going to help how precisely..?

Wind yer necks in everyone or this thread is going...

I logged on while listening to the game on gbfm, read briefnes comment re Jarvis and I very nearly deleted my account on here.

Considering that you are not watching but listening calls into question your objectivity with regard to Jarvis. One penalty was 47 meters out, hardly a gimmie!

Supporter my arse.

Look Lads we arent exactly gonna steam roll the Pro 12, put things into perspective, we lost alot of VERY GOOD players last year and we are re-building a young team..... Lets not get carried away We have had days like this before and we are going to have a few more this season and that is a DEFINATE lads... We have had 2 out of 2..we were in a great position to get 3 out of 3 and possibly 4 out of 4 ...but it wasnt to be...

In my opinion this year is more about big crowds at the Sportsground to prove that Professional Rugby has a future out West.. The team obviously also matters, but getting a losing Bonus Point in Edinburgh is not the end of the World...

Big Crowd again next week, get behind the Lads and lets get a third win of the season under our belts!!

I agree to some extent. While other teams are missing players and we hope to take advantage we have had a massive turnover in staff and we have lost a number of key first team players and a few good squad players. Lets not forget also we are missing players of our own through injury and wc duty. Vainikolo, Browne, Grace, Nikora, Nolan and George and Rodney went off injured during the game.

We got over the line the last two weeks by the skin of our teeth, this one possibly slipped away and against a side who'll be down in the bottom half as well its dissapointing, but in all honesty we were lucky to pull a win last week. If we win next week we'll have 13 points from 4 games which I think everyone would have been happy with at the start of the month.

However, we need these lads to punch above their weight this season if we are to turn this momentum into something positive and be in a position to improve the side next summer. If we finish down near the bottom this season and are back in the Challenge Cup next year the momentum could be lost. If we can improve our standing to 7th or 8th or better and be competitive in the majority of the hc games it would be a good platform to sustain a supporter base and provide an opportunity for us to sell ourselves as a competitive side who are developing on and off the pitch.

A win was there for the taking and we didn't take it. Facts are facts, bonus point or no bonus point. We won't have too many trips away from Galway this year where we can say we should have won and lost it through our own mistakes. There's no point patting one another on the back for coming away with a point. It's 3 points dropped against an extremely average Edinburgh minus most of their key players. I'd imagine Eric will be nothing short of fuming.

What we are all losing sight of here is that we have just come away from Murryfield with a bonus point. In years gone by we would have considered that an achievement.

Aragh, don't think anyone is losing sight. Think everyone just want to see some more small signs of improvement every game. From the commentary it's clear that overall the lads will be dissapointed with elements of their game today, and perhaps they just didn't maintain the standard from the first two games. The late cheap turnover try let an average Edinburgh team off the hook for sure...

Besides if I was writing in upper case then I would be shouting,no exclamation marks

Just pointing out that it might be percieved as over-emphasis, and well a little rude if you are writing directly to someone...

One not sufficient..!? ;D

Anyway back to rugby, hopefully George and Rodders are ok. We're getting closer to HEC games every week...

Briefne, I am very calm at this moment in time, just getting my point across. These youngsters will be the backbone of Connacht rugby for the comming years so let's give them a break !!! I didn't hear any body slagging Gavin off for handling on the ground !!! now he is an experienced player, but his experience was bugger all use to the youngsters when he was in the bin !!!
Just trying to put things in perspective, no teddies thrown, just making the point.

In fairness multiple exclimation marks at the end of a sentence don't give the indication of serenity, much like POSTING IN UPPERCASE... :))

I'd agree with Greendragon in that it's way too early to be getting on the back of any individual player.

Don't really see anyone doing that here.

I'd agree with Greendragon in that it's way too early to be getting on the back of any individual player. Kicks get missed, and even commentators as experienced in rugby as Joe Healy don't fully understand the small margins that make the difference between a good kick and a narrow miss even if they look straightforward.

We had 80mins to win this game, we didn't adapt to the refereee for 60-65 mins losing or captain and one of our most experienced players for ten minutes as well.

In the end we really only got on our bikes when the game looked lost, obviously without TV very hard to judge but it didn't sound like we were looking for the win, but more concerned with not losing.....
