TOH would be good, as would Tonetti, he's only on loan. Getting as many young Irish players as possible should be the goal.

What is the deal with Mul's contract? Does he have another year left? Tiernan would be an obvious one, wonder who the other one is? Ronan Loughney maybe?

They didn't say it was MAJOR though

The injury to Howlett gets me to thinking that Connacht should get Tiernan signed soon. I wonder if we could get Munster to give Vainikolo a spin and take him off Connacht's hands. Probably the best way for him to find some form.

I was under that illusion about Griffin as well but he actually only signed a 1 year development deal last year

Good news. Those two lads will play together for Ireland one day, and injury permitting, possibly lots of days!

Ah man talk about emotional rollercoaster. I was sure we had recruited a decent TH.

i just want to know that the paper the contracts have been signed on is made of slightly firmer stuff than the one Hagen signed his on last year. It would be awful for everyone involved to make that mistake again.

Does raise the MAJOR question though (think i have used the word correctly there) why hasn't TOH signed as well?

Sorry to be petty but I'm a bit pissed off after that. Are Connacht that out of touch that they think a pair of contract announcements that, at best, will make a footnote in an article in the national press, will be considered major?

An eight game losing streak tends to focus the mind. All this announcement says is we're not getting worse. What we needed to hear was that we were getting better!

Could make the case that this is a major announcement since the team has lost 8 on the trot and I was getting nervous that Connacht would lose two of the bright spots of this season. I'm relieved they've signed on for another two seasons. It will be great if something can be done about the player getting them the ball now.
