Would you mind booking two tickets for me? I'll sort you out now or when we get to Brive? Don't fancy going through the site for the first time!!
Thanks,
Mike

Here is their plan of attack for the day. Sounds good to me:
Meeting at 3.45pm at our bar Le Gaillard Saint Martin, 1 rue Moissan (behind the train station)
We will offer you the French traditionnal "galette des rois"
After that we will propose you a local dinner at 7pm with a starter, a main course, a desert, coffee and wine included for 19€
We'll leave for the stadium by 8pm
They want to know numbers for the dinner so if you can let me know if you're in, I'll get back to them with the count.
Thanks Pinky, I'll join you!
Note: Galette des Rois (generally almond paste in pastry) is a specialty served with cider post 6 January to celebrate the Epiphany. It's a huge tradition in France and can be the source of up to 15% of a boulangerie's annual income. Watch out for the rituals involved!

I'm driving from Carcassonne Airport to Brive and back (Friday to Sunday). I have a Peugeot 3008 booked. Have room for two more if anyone's interested in sharing the cost. Have driven overseas a lot and prefer to drive myself.
Mike
NB: For anyone who's rented or planning on renting a car. Watch out for the 250KM per day mileage limit with Europecar and some of the others. It's about 290Km to Brive so that's another 80Km at 50c per/km!! If you book Enterprise with Carjet or Ryanair its unlimited mileage!

By my count the Carcassonne transport requirements are:
Return trip: 5 (Banm x 2, DaSpecialOne x 2, TryHarder)
One way on Friday: 6 (Shelflife x 3, Pinky, RoofS x 2)
Plus Aidan and Tara above.
Definitely enough for one good sized rental car for the returnees and a large taxi to Toulouse for the one-ways.
BTW I'm in Rang 1 Siege 121 - it was surpisingly easy to book as I had an account since some previous game.

Banm wrote: I've a polo booked for the trip. Two of us in it, room for 2-3 depends on size of bags etc...
My first time driving on the right so if ye trust me yer welcome to join. I'm following Packie (Niall) and the gbfm car to keep me right! (literally)
If it's a Polo you get, then it's really 2+2.+ Carry On Bags (small enough Boots)
But being France, a more than decent chance you'll get a Clio which is 2 +3 + Carry On Bags (cavernous boot)
(NB: the Diesel is excellent, same 1.5 engine as the Megane, and probably better if you've a full car. I'd recommend specifically asking for same)..

What post code did you use Banm ?
I used Paris's code "75008"
mobile number that worked, was my Irish number, without 353, so 087 .....
Very posh postcode!
