About George, it was a tightly fought year to be honest.
Duffy has superb consistency and his game away against Quins was the cherry on top.
Wilko has been fighting the good fight for us for years and his involvement in the Irish setup is testament to his work rate and consistency.
Loughs... well it's already been said but man what a year for him!
And of course Macca, superb all season and winning his first Irish cap as well.

Has to be Loughney for me. As others have said he saved Connacht's bacon this season. He's gone beyond an adequate replacement at TH this season. I have 4-5 others fighting it out for runner-up. I'd give George come back player of the year. I'd go again with the majority here and give TOH the nod as young player of the year. A couple of votes to McSharry, but he has not been as consistent as Tiernan.

I don't know if Swifty is trying to steal some votes or Diom is doing it for him, but he's my man for player of the decade.

It might help to put a link to this on the main forum. I know its on the front page but I usually link straight into the main forum. i'm sure others do likewise.

I have sent off my votes. Was leaning towards Mike McCarthy but Ronan Loughney got my vote if only for the way he adjusted to life at tight head when things were looking seriously grim. The fact he's a local lad who had injury troubles but battled back probably influenced my decision. He didn't get as many starts as maybe he should early in the season but when he got his chance he took it. Plenty of others have had fine seasons also.

Tiernan O'Halloran for the young player award. Strongest field we've ever had at that category I think. I don't think Tiernan missed a game all season and he already looks very comfortable at this level despite having big boots to fill. Looking forward to his continued progress in the next few seasons. Any of the other 3 could have won it any other year and all made big impacts this season also.

Young player is for me Tiernan he's softened Carr's lose considerably. Buckley would be honourable mention.

Loughney for me, his performances week on week are staggering considering he is not a natural TH. Honourable mentions to Kyle Tonetti & Gorgeous George.

Tiernan walks the young player of the year with another honourable mention to Dennis Buckly.

George has done well recently all right but Loughneys performances at Tight head have saved connachts season so its Ronan Loughney for me with 4 to 5 close 2nds. O Halloran as current top try scorer gets my vote for Young player.

Not saying everyone should vote for George, but he has more MOTM awards than anyone else this season, he should definitely be on the list.
