The Porterhouse in Covent Garden is not a bad place to take in a game (will definitely have the Ulster game on this Friday). There's the White Bear in Kennington too which would be at the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of beer prices and IMO is a decent enough little pub if a little rough around the edges.
I guess it's just a case of finding maybe a couple of places that will have a game on at the start of the week, posting it up on here and then if there is a few up for heading out the location would take care of itself.

I'm living and working out in the sticks in Surrey now, but back in the Irish Rugby messageboard days when I lived closer in (Wandsworth) and was working in town (Clerkenwell) I used to head over to Waxy's and meet a few Ulster lads there, then for HEC games we used to go to O'Neills on Great Queen Street (run by an Ulster lad).
You don't need huge numbers, just a regular crowd.
But one of us we used to get in touch with the venues first early in the week to establish if they would show the games and then post to say where was showing the games. I'm afraid lack of commentary is something you just get used to, especially if they have live music on.
The most amenable options were:
Central London
Waxy's - 14-16 Rupert Street, London W1D 6DD, United Kingdom

O'Neills - 40 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AA, United Kingdom

West Kens/Fulham
Famous 3 Kings - (Beside West Kensington Tube), 153 N End Rd, Kensington, London, Greater London W14 9NL, United Kingdom

There were not many people there for the rugby at all, I would say 10 tops. 5 of those were cheering for leinster and the rest were watching the Ulster game and the looks i got for screaming when Connacht scored 3 tries in the first half I think it's fair to say I was the only Connacht fan there.
The live band that came on for the 2nd half were quality though, was an experience watching the rugby with some really loud and fairly decent music coming through.

It took me a good 5 mins to convince the bar staff that the game was on tonight and not tomorrow as they had initially insisted.

Fair play to the Leinster supporters club, they have managed to get a bar in Covent Garden as their official home of the London Leinster Rugby supporters, which apparently shows all of their games on the large screens.
It's fairly close to where I work so may well head down there in the evening in my Clan apparel and say hello to the neighbours.

In London, you're almost always guaranteed to catch the matches in The Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington (my local), or in the Corrib Rest in Queen's Park.
Another one I know of and really enjoy on Twickenham matchdays is the White Swan which is down near Twickenham village - proper rugby pub.
Hope that helps!
