i didnt go as there was no bus coming back that night, i dont drive. anyone who was driving even wouldnt be back in galway till 11, mayo midnight and sligo even further.
yes a pub in galway ran a bus but in this day and age €100 plus €50+ on drinks that night in cork can be outside the budget.
i know few people were saying they didnt bother going in protest to it being played in cork.
rightly so, munster rugby completely fucked us over by doubling our travel which would be close to 3 hours.
if this match was played in limerick im sure there would of been alot more. my only time in TP about 3years ago there most of been 500 supporters there.

yes i agree that the clan or branch should of ran a bus the same day. doesnt have to be a 50 seater coach. if it on 15 people, hire a mini bus etc. what happened to farell travel who are ment to be sponsors etc?????

After travelling down to Cork for the match at the weekend I said I'd give it a day or two before I posted. I was appalled with the numbers that showed up to support the boys in green, there can't have been a hundred Connacht fans there. I think it's fair to say that a few of them probably live in and around Cork. Cork is only 120 miles away, it would be more than feasible to travel up and down the same day if an overnight stay was out of the question.
So, why didn't more people travel?
Why didn't the branch run buses?
Why, since the branch didn't, didn't the Clan run a bus down?
I honestly think it could have been arranged for less than €50 a head, coming back the same night.
The team are woeful away, having absolutely no support can't help, that said, we had great craic out-singing the Munster fans and out on the lock in Cork City (boy) after!
Rant over, seriously though, even the last time I went to Thomond to see Connacht there was a piss-poor crowd, it's only an hour away, what's the story?
