I think the away jersey is garish and horrible got no strong feelings towards the home kit neither like it or dislike it. As for the launch a tweet by the IRFU the day before and then this farce today shows me that the likes of Alex Saul are been paid to much and the words coordination are lost on the likes of Elvery's etc. Sigh

Well if there was to be one I'm sure a little leak to get people interested would have been done by now, so show we can do marketing better than the pros :)

Like the Official Connacht Clan iPhone/iPad app you mean? :P

As far as I know Aer Arann has become Aer Lingus Regional since it hit financial troubles. Instead of a new sponsor I think this is just a renaming of a previous held sponsor and that is why there has been no major announcement.

I know a jersey is just a jersey I just think it looks relatively amateur. Especially the branch putting blurred photos on facebook all morning trying to get some hype when it is clear on the elverys website.

Have to say it is a nice shirt, but again I'd love to see a whole range of different gear available. I'm not sure about anyone else but I'm likely to buy anything with the logo on, the mrs goes mad at the amount of Ireland training gear I've acquired!

I'm not enstilled with confidence by a comment the branch have posted saying there will be a press release later this afternoon to announce availability of the new range though. Positive thoughts :silly:

_nobody_, I can see your point there, but I wonder how many other people have seen the jersey. I wouldnt imagine the number is very high.

Anyway, with regards to the jersey, I think it looks nice. I like how we've gotten AerLingus (Regional anyways) on board as a sponsor.

I do wish that they had more gear available with the Connacht logo on it. I'll pop into Elverys before the Cardiff match and pick up a few bits of gear. Need some warm hoodies and jackets for my trip to New Zealand

If i was working in marketing for Connacht I would not be one bit happy with Elverys.

Part of me wonders has this launch been pushed forward because Elverys let the public see the jersey and Connacht feel they have to do something soon.

If some young sales boy got a slap on the wrist for putting the jersey on the shelves before it has been released then it is ok. But then for Elverys to put a clear picture up on their website the day Connacht are trying to launch it and have some secrecy about design is an absolute farce.

Somebody is in the major wrong. If we did not know what the jersey looked like there may be a bit of excitement. I have now seen it twice on the internet and have no interest at all about what happens in Shop street.

To be fair, I dont get the big uproar about the jersey.
It was bad that it was available in Dundrum a few weeks ago, but in the end as long as its displayed in the shop windows, I dont mind.

I'd imagine that the team official site gets very few hits everyday during the summer.

I didnt hear anything about the new Ulster jersey, until it had been released. I'm living in Dublin, and havent heard anything about a new Leinster jersey.

The main thing for the branch, is to be selling season tickets, and I think this is something that they've marketed very well

Well surprise surprise, just checked elverys website this minute and low and behold Connacht Rugby appear to have a new home jersey, oh and a pair of socks!! Still nothing from the branch about anything?!

Seriously it seems to be the usual P**s up and the brewery story.

Yeah new jersey launch according to FB as well.

Really should have been building up to that for at least a couple of weeks. The pixelated photo they have on there could have gone out two weeks ago to get some talk going on. Maybe have some players make some public appearances with fake "new" jerseys.

But it's a step in the right direction. At least it is out before the start of the season :)

Hell, maybe they're going for a flash mob jersey launch. Blink and you'll miss it.

Seeing as the branch havent announced anything, it could just be a photo shoot, and the branch could announce the jersey details this afternoon
