I think this is one place where Connacht's closer involvement with the supporters club will be a positive. The Clan is still young and will benefit from Connacht getting behind it and hopefully helping to introduce those kinds of connections with local business.

Of course you get a lot more out of mrsc membership than current clan membership. They have discountd nrgotiated with a significant amount of businesses both in the province and dublin and they handle all ticket sales for their mrmbers.
Connacht clan or connacht rugby are not in a position to charge yet imo as the service they provide isnt at a level yet that justifies it. I didnt even get a membership card last season for my sub s
o why wud i renew?

Now, you know this isn't true and I know this isn't true, but some people will think this way. Not only that but it's not compulsory, so you could have a situation where the majority of fans in the "Clan Terrace" aren't even official Clan members.
And I think if they've shelled out for a ST they have the right to call themselves a member of the Clan.
Obviously the Clan needs to generate revenue. I don't have the answers here, and I'm sorry if I'm coming across as over negative, but I'm not sure this is the right direction to take.

Can't imagine people will want to pay for it, I know I won't...

So the talk is that Clan membership will be totally separate from season tickets because we want to develop it as something worthwhile in and of itself. So giving it away for free kinda demeans it. Anyway we will send out renewal notices to current members and will send out information to season ticket holders and other interested parties when the details are all tied down.
From recent talks with Alex Saul it seems like the branch want to get a lot more behind the Clan this year and make them really become part of the rugby in Connacht. It sounds really good, and it looks like they will be making a lot more of their resources available to us, so hopefully you all can expect more polished edges to the Clan this coming season!
