Lets wait and see, plenty of time to discuss this in the summer if we make it. Still some issues to be decided in the leagues and Challenge Cup. However we were only 1 place off it this season and with some big names missing out its a strong possibility.

Having said that, bar the possible new Italian team there are no soft touches in the 4th pot but the Heineken Cup is certainly the place to be in terms of guaranteed ranking points.

Think it's on the countback (i.e. who's got most ERC points in current/latest season, and so on to 2nd, 3rd, 4th year).

You can because France will have seven teams qualified and one group must have two French clubs

Did some maths tonight (see the rest of us can count too Umm!) and came up with how I think the rankings are going to work out next year based on the assumption Leinster win it and we qualify. And for the sake of an overall perspective Toulon win the Amlin and Ulster play Leinster in the final. I've also gone with who is currently in the HC qualifying positions in France(7) and England(6). When I got to the end it revealed that we will move into the third seedings because of the extra point earned this season from playing in the Heineken Cup. Any tie in rankings I havent been able to find how it is resolved, but I think it's on overall history which I haven't looked at to be honest
