All the more reason not to sign him.
He has moved to be closer to his family so often I think they're trying to shake him off. I have no time for pro athletes who use their own families as a form of an emotional excuse to hide their true reasons for moving on.
He has been charged with public order offences, insulted teammates, been in fights with teammates, harangued punters in a bar like a lary yob and now this.
Dressing room poison.

I'm thinking that the Plane incident was a handy excuse to get rid of him. If they thought he was worth the hassle they would have kept him after the public apology.
He's been stiffed by the Blues no doubt, his timing was very poor given he knew they are "streamlining" for next season.
From a Connacht perspective on current form, who and in what position would he be ahead of? I really can't think of anyone in the current squad who I would drop for Gavin Henson.
We're not talking the young Gavin Henson from Wales U-20's, that player despite all the Welsh hype never progressed at all. You could actually sum up his career in a Senior Welsh or Regional jersey with a 52m penalty against Ireland and a couple of tackle on Matthew Tait over seven years ago in their Grand Slam year and he wasn't even remotely a major contribitor to that success....

Would be much happier with him in the match day 22 each week. he brings something different to our game. He usually pulls in 2 men, to stop him in full flow

Also does anyone know about Eamonn Sheridan? If Henry is going you'd hope they'd have someone in to replace him either internally or externally. Sheridan in my opinion would make most sense if available as he's like for like and IQ. Plus EE was keen to sign him last year.

Still disappointed if it's true about Henry. Think there were better things to come from him next season.

IMO I think people are being blinded by some of his recent form which has been pretty good in fairness and certainly every side needs a bit of physicality in the centre which he brings but regardless of what the statistics say about win-loss record when he was playing in the team (3 of those wins were during the wc) for the majority of the season when he played we were ridiculously one dimensional, and at 32 years of age going into the summer I don't think we can teach an old dog new tricks at this stage of his career and from a defensive viewpoint he doesn't do enough imo.
Having said all that if he was to say, there could be a role for him as a squad player in horses for courses type situations.
If he isn't staying I hope there is an alternative plan in place. We do look a bit short handed in the centre for next season. Having brought in White, Parks and Faloon its important to finish out the job now. How Connacht handle this could tell a lot about how next season is going to go.

gavin henson is on the market again it seems
May have to get the boat over for interview though...
With regards to Henry I think his work is underated while thay of the young lads is a little overrated (at this stage), Griffin and McSharry and Tonnetti have shown potential but none has a lot of experience and they are works in progress. They can learn a lot from Henry and another season will see them gel a lot more and see their interplay improve I believe.
Just don't believe that we paid top dollar for Henry though, especially with the volume of players we needed to get in...
Plus the fact he was with Leeds last season who were relegated?
