O'Connor Staring against Trevisio with Jarvis on the Bunch.

What is unfortunatley predictable is that Jarvis will probabley get 20 mins.(and O'Donoghue)Can understand that part of the intention is to try something different ,but can't do much for the confidence.

Actually his kicking from close in has been pretty damn good. He did miss a few long penalty kicks, he had the distance but was just out a little. He certainly has a kicking range that is far in excess of either Miah or Niall. He's still only 20 though and between us and Ospreys has very limited exposure to ML/HEC rugby - www.itsrugby.co.uk/player-zoom-15806-rab...ect12-2011-game.html . But he has to given a go to test his mettle...

But it's not just about out 10's kicking either, I still want to see our flyhalf taking on the opposition defence and making space for those outside him.

We are not getting over the line, and our backs looked very flat against Ospreys, so we need to try something and Jarvis is a viable option. Would be mad not to IMO.

Yeah, would like to see Jarvis given the start against Treviso. They'll be no push overs, but he should be up to it and something needs to be done to get this side scoring tries.

Would love to see Stringer here. More than just a good passer, a leader of the pack and the a great example around the place. Really we've seen enough of Frank Murphy now to realise he can't be our scrum half if we are hoping to advance. He has some impressive cameos off the bench and shows glimpses of why he played at Leicester but for me he just doesn't produce on a consistent basis, for an experienced player he makes some rookie mistakes at times.

O'Donohue hasn't really proven himself either, he looks like he spent too long at Leinster playing A games and AIL games. Unlucky with his snipe near the line on Saturday but took bad options on a number of occasions. Confidence not high either which is understandable with the chopping and changing.

Have only seen Moore in one A game where we were on the back foot for most of it, could do with a look in at this stage I'd imagine though. I'm sure he didn't come here with the aim of bolstering Galwegians div 1b campaign. Moore and Jarvis have been seeing a lot of action with Galwegians, whats to lose by giving them game time next weekend?

I agree. The two lads the last night were pretty poor, but in fairness the backline was very very static outside them as well.
I know it's the outhalf's job to get the line moving but they still need to offer him some options.

Osprey's 10 against Connacht
MATTHEW MORGAN DOB 23rd Apr 1992
Birthplace Reading, England
Height 1.72 m (5' 8")
Weight 73 kg (11 st 7 lb)

Mia Nikora
Position: Out-half
Date of Birth: 28/04/1985
Place of Birth: Gisborne, New Zealand
Height: 1.78m
Weight: 87kg

Who had the better game? its not the size that counts it the ability to play the game.
Ospreys rushed up in defence as they know Connacht are going to try and get the ball wide early We all could see that the ospreys were offside but Mia did'nt change the game to play against a rush defence he just pop the ball to henry who had no space to do anything

My feeling is that we need a flyhalf who fill the role much like a quarterback in NFL. Quarterbacks are actually suprisingly big guys, most usually 6'3" upawards and in excess of 16 Stone, the reason for this is two fold, the height is to give them better trajectory for their throwing arm and to get throws out of the tackle. The size overall is to allow them to roll with the hits and deal with the targetting from very fast absolutley hige guuys trying to nail them to the turf.

Basically I want to see more physicality from our halfbacks, I don't want them shipping on slow ball all the time. I'd like them to be confident in taking the ball up and either retaining possesion or having the ability to make an offload (assuming our players can be recoached to actually track a carrier)...

Without a doubt an outhalf is needed.Keatley had his faults but was easily the best since Eric.Only hope is for Jarvis.O'Connor and Nikora add very little to the game.

Nikora broke the line last night from my remembrance and the ball was ripped, he's gone down to 3rd choice imo because of his game management. hasn't been good since his comeback against Ulster.his form need to cop on and quick.

what the hell did jarvis do?!

I think we are really lacking in the 10 position.Really seem to struggle going forward never seem to break the line from there.Any ideas when Jarvis is gonna be back in the squad think i read he played for Galwegians today.
