That's fantastic. Thank you.

Just saw in the indo:
Former Munster lock Donnacha Ryan could be in their sights as the veteran forward has been reported as one of the players leaving French side Racing 92 this summer.

Yeah doubt we'll be seeing many overseas signings anywhere, least of all Connacht.

Best hope is to hang on to the bulk of our squad but that said guys like Porch will be looking for a (well deserved) raise and someone like Buckley would be remiss to not worry that international recognition is not coming their way and look elsewhere for a decent payday.

We've the makings of a good squad but tough to maintain progress if too much experience is walking out the door, which I'd fear will happen.

Friendy said that turnover of the squad would be reduced this year so let's hope to hold onto our best.

With money as tight as it is for the IRFU, I'm asuming that Connacht will not be signing any NIQ / Marquee player's this season!

Now, hopefully this starts an avalanche of re-signings over the next few weeks.
Would like if we can sign Alex Wootton permanently, I think he is out of contract with Munster at the end of the season (CC)

Connacht Squad 2021-2022 was created by Sol_ie

Connacht have only begun discussions this week. Apparently most of their frontline forwards are out of contract at the end of the season, such as Denis Buckley, Dave Heffernan, Shane Delahunt, Finlay Bealham, Quinn Roux, Ultan Dillane, Gavin Thornbury, Paul Boyle, Conor Oliver, Eoghan Masterson and Abraham Papali’i, as well as Jack Carty, Stephen and Conor Fitzgerald, and John Porch, while Alex Wootton is on loan from Munster until the end of the season. The good news is that Andy Friend is to extend his stay.

So sayeth the Irish Times. Lots of work to be done, but here's hoping that business can be done. Not a one of the players mentioned are excess to requirements!
