If the Clan are putting in a bid for Itoje we might need to think about raising the sub a bit, in fairness.

Assuming this move does go ahead, I sincerely hope we are in advanced negotiations to bolster our back row options for next week to supplement what will be the front line options of Butler, Boyle, and Sean O'Brien. We already needed a big ball-carrying bulldozer of a No8 and you'd imagine the coach is using his contacts down South to work on that. We would need then another two quality options to supplement these four above. You'd have to assume that Leinster will be asked to consider letting at least two of their back row options move. They'll have Conan, Deegan, Doris, van der Flier, Leavy, Connors, Penny, Ruddock, and Josh Murphy on their books. We should be looking at persuading two of those to move. My money would be on Penny and Josh Murphy (Connors would be fantastic).

Very sad to see him off, fantasic job for us and great man too. Really added a lot to the game, and you know he was well liked by all. Irish teams can't compete with the kind of money that French clubs are throwing about, and you can't begrudge Colby for deciding to make the move.

Very hard to begrudge any player a move these days, especially with the money in France. Hopfully it's just contract negogiations - fantastic player and decent fellah too - would hate to see him have to move on.

Fainga'a is one of our current back rows we need to keep! I hope there's nothing to this as I'd like to see him stay for another couple of years. It's adding to our back-row stocks, not depleting them that we need to be doing.
