Maybe I should have added that all good teams are built on a solid defence of course ! But, I do like the sound of Andy Friend, all Sevens teams have brilliant fitness levels as well and that is something every top team has to have. I think that KK was a good attacking coach, but he is gone now and we move on. Something went wrong in house for sure. Of all the candidates that I have seen so far, Friend sounds like a good fit.
I spoke to an Australian colleague who knew him when he was with the Brumbies..."Has some strong points, but weaknesses too, a big believer in player autonomy, fine if you have a Gregan or Larkham, otherwise...."
