The current state of Connacht reminds me of the Nightmare of Season's Past, us helpfully acting as the foundation of the league, holding up all the teams above us,the team even the Italian's beat . We were the plucky non starter's, punching above our weight. However we now have a larger fan base and more revenue coming in, and if that starts to drop, that's when the Cash Flow Suits will demand a change at the top.

Going to the Sportsgrounds is a bit like Mass:You stay until the players are off the pitch and never leave early!

One thing I won't miss next season is that bloody awful away kit. Dreadful.

On a positive note, Frank is turning out to be a good referee, good communicator, decisive and very fit. Bet he will be on international panel in a few years.

It's been a desperate season. Truly desperate. And when you compare the coaching ticket from three years ago to the one we have now, well there's your answer. The consensus seems to be that KK and his team get another season, and maybe the new player arrivals will improve things but one thing is for sure we can't afford another season of the shite we've produced this season.

I repeat , most bewildered Connacht fans I know just want this season to end officially. Stick a fork in us, we're done.

[quote= if our season ended 4 months ago how were we n a challenge cup 1/4 final a few weeks back ? [/quote]
The truth is the vast majority of teams don't take the Challange Cup very seriously if they happen to get to the knock out stage then they take it seriously, that's why we went out in the quarter final.
We were Champions two seasons ago, our demise is very sad, imo we are now in the Italian club standard, with all due respect to the Italian clubs who are improving while we have dropped down the pecking order.

Listen 'DaveyDavey' try to get your head around the idea of what a forum means - It means a place where everyone's opinion can be heard. Just because I think you're talk out of your most intelligent oriface doesn't mean you're no less entitled to spew out your opinion on the forum.

The majority of Connacht fans I know (as well as myself) believe that we've gone drastically backwards this season and I, for one, have no confidence that if things stay the same, next season won't be much better. The fundamentals are not right financially and otherwise.

You might be happy winning 'second halves of matches' - good luck to you. But never forget that I have the right to say that what I have seen out of Connacht since basically Christmas has been a load of toss & you ain't gonna change my opinion on that me ol' mucker!!!

@Wasrednowgreen
there was a lot more than nothing there n the 2nd half, we had them pinned n their half for most of it, if our season ended 4 months ago how were we n a challenge cup 1/4 final a few weeks back ? glasgow have 75 points n the table, we have 34 so losing 35 22 is not terrible in the circumstances

good second half which we won 14-8, thought ref frank murphy was a bit lenient on them with the penalty count , cud have been a yellow earlier, delahunt shud b starting more matches, he carries well, illi and blade played well, our scrum and rolling maul was brilliant (n 2nd half) mccabe savage also when he came on he has to start the next day. negatives of course our defence non existent at times in first half. Muldoon played well also when he came on last 10 mins, gonna be a huge loss............

First half looked like all the Connacht players were thinking of their holidays in a few weeks time. Didn't look very interested.
Our second half scores were more down to Glasgow turning off when they knew the game was won.
BTW, why hasn't Ili been involved in the match squad more often this season.

Glasgow took their foot off the gas but that's a decent fight back. Changes made a positive difference, thought ili did well and Blade. Scrum as a whole did well and maul and maul defence looked better as did the lineout.

Not all good though, defense in open play was terrible, looked like they could score any time they got the ball. Decision making not brilliant either.

Something to build on anyway.

Woeful, I don't know what I'm looking at there doesn't seem to rhyme nor reason to their attack and defensively they look tired. I'm nearly tempted to put the Ulster game on.

Not seen one other Connacht fan so far. Might be slightly outnumbered.

Best of luck and fair play to anyone travelling to the match. Remember 'colours' ie scarfs and jerseys are an absolute no no in Glasgow City Centre. Connacht Abu !!
