Chris Farell signed in Grenoble Jackman said "Ça a été une surprise pour moi qu'on ait l'opportunité de le faire signer parce l'Ulster voulait le garder et le Connacht et le Munster étaient intéressés" translate "It was a surprise for me we had the opportunity to make him sign as Connacht and Munster were interested and Ulster wanted to keep him" Also described him as the best Potential of Ireland...

Scarlets fly-half Aled Thomas will move to Gloucester at the end of the season, the Premiership club have confirmed.

Other new faces for Gloucester will include All Black John Afoa, Argentinian second row Mariano Galarza, Welsh hooker Richard Hibbard and Scottish half back Greig Laidlaw.

Prop Geoff cross joins Glasgow on loan as injury cover from Edinburgh. Clearly a decision at sru level to keep Glasgow in playoff spot. Cross is a Scottish international and would hope to be in Heineken cup squad for Edinburgh if not starting so no squad player.

I don't think it's something rotten, just the whole uncertainty over Europe and Pro12 participation was at its height when those players were in talks to renew their contracts. It's no shock that most of them are moving to England or France, where there was always going to be more stability.

There must be something rotten happening at that club for all those players to go. I know there is uncertainty about there future but for the veterans to leave I think shows that things are not right behind the scenes.

Leonardo Ghiraldini, Michele Rizzo, Robert Barbieri and Christian Loamanu to Leicester.
Alessandro Zanni is reputedly in talks with Toulon.
