I choose to watch it on BBC, as they tend not to think there are only two provinces. They were as generous in their praise as could be in the circumstances. Hook doesn't even annoy me. He is a fat Ray Darcy - something that makes noise I have no interest in.

haha ya think i will go norn ireland tv next time

any time we got a bit of ball we looked decentish some nice passing and got away a couple of times, parks did fine considering he was going backwards all night long. Id prefer if jack carty came on tbh..the guys fought to the end got to give them credit for that but this thing of some players having on pitch lobotomies and constantly handing teams easy tries after lots of hard work by everyone around is what annoys me the most. those things cant be tolerated you should be crucified, ithink its time for a final bit of a clear out at the end of this season where we dont have any players left with a mindset that this is a place where you go to die, we shoudl be the new up and coming kids on the block who play exciting rugby and who play 100% for the shirt. Hensahw had another good game but would we ever have seen him there but for injury doubt it. I hope the new coach is someone with fresh ideas and invention you dont have to be working for years in a place if he's good he'll know talent when he sees it, hopefully makes connacht a top side..

We were pretty crap going forward. Ulster were in our faces every time we had possession -line outs, rucks, scrums and the errors just seem to happen all over the place when we are put under that sort of pressure. Defensively we were ok.

Buckley did well when he came on. That's about it really.

We were absolutely awful. Completely destroyed upfront which meant we were on the backfoot for pretty much the whole game. Parks was very poor and should have been taken off earlier I reckon. We never really looked like scoring, what little chances we had were ruined by poor execution and dreadful officiating. I would consider Clancy one of the better refs on the circuit but he only reffed one team for the first hour and the touch judges were shocking. Thought Gannon was hard done by with the yellow. 72 mins before we got a call on the scrum and 75 mins before they were pinged for offside where they spent most of the game. On the plus side the backs showed some decent play with what little ball they got and Buckley did very well against Afoa. Massive improvement needed for next week. So disappointing after the Leinster game.

Now I want to say first off that Ulster were the better side and deserved the win.

Thought that there were a few harsh calls on Connacht, from the off there was a penalty given to Ulster for Connacht not releasing in the tackle when it was a collapsed maul, the same thing happened moments later and we were given the put in to the scrum.

Regarding Gannons yellow, I am really unsure here, if he did pull it down, then fair enough, but he is picking up more yellow cards than is acceptable.

Another point was when Clancy said "advantage over", and then when Ulster knocked on he blew for the advantage claiming another advantage was given (trip by JOC apparently), but why shout advantage over then.

I would like to see it again when Henshaw tried to offload to Fetu and it appeared that Fetu was getting pulled back, I thought that a yellow and a penalty may be issued for cynical play, but if the pass was forward, then again fair enough.

When Court seemingly blocked Loughney prior to the ball being held up over the line, ok, I will admit that Ronan looked like he was playing for the penalty.

Big positives from the game were Buckley, McSharry and Henshaw for me, showed loads of promise.

Oh, I was watching the game on BBC NI, and they did pass a comment regarding the citing commissioner, this was around the time that Nick Williams went down, but I don't think that the comment was linked to that event, it just looked like he got twisted when he went down in the ruck, just wondering if anyone else spotted anything that we should be worried about regarding losing a player to a citing investigation at all? I thought it was funny when they said after the game that all the 50:50 decisions were given Connachts way, the grass really is greener on the other side when it comes to the ref.

Regarding Flavin, he has had better games I suppose.

Parks did nothing to get us on the board. Why shouldn't he have been taken off? And his big smiles with some Ulster players after the final whistle pissed me off no end.

That's not to lay the blame on him, the team didn't bother turning up. We actually had some great defence, because Ulster should have scored another 7 tries tonight and we did well to stop that. But we showed nothing in attack, ulster just got a training run out.

Very poor.

I was a little surprised at first that Parks was coming off, but it made perfect sense. There was no coming back at that point. Erasing the white wash might have been esthetically pleasing, but in the long run it won't matter. It's just a shame that the moment Nikora gets on he persists with the garryowen that has proved a failure.

Honestly crazy any chance we had of scoring evaporated the minute he took parks off, I can't see what mata can do if he's stuck playing alongside Nikora whose kicking and backline management is rubbish. My god these leinster and Munster pundits are up themselves to a crazy degree hook saying there's no talent what a muppet..

25-0 Ulster Fulltime. The less said about that game the better. The fears regarding Gannon were realised I'm afraid. Disappointing they couldn't build in anyway on the Leinster win. Some of the selections were likely made with next week in mind, but you would expect better.

Have to say this is rubbish, again with the sidelining of a front row of Buckley and white who did great stuff last week, how many times will a coach allow players to ruin others good work by giving away stupid stupid penalities swift and gannon Id relegate them to the academy if they don't have any sense now they never will..entire front row change get Gannon and swift off just on principle alone..this shooting ourselves in the foot crap has to stop

17-0 to Ulster at the half. It sounds as bad as I expected it might and the floodgates are sure to open if Connacht do not score first and even that is no guarantee they won't. They'll need to stay on the right side of Clancy as well, if that's at all possible.

Had a read of the match thread on the Ulster forum. They're all pretty confident of a 5 pointer. In fairness, they have a strong team out, they're coming off the back of a demolition job of Cardiff, and it's the first home game since the Spence tragedy, so a bonus point victory for them wouldn't surprise me. Having said that, I'm hopeful of a strong Connacht performance and I'd take a losing bonus point. Going to be in the car during the game, so I'll have to avoid all updates and watch it later tonight. Good luck boys.

What are the other options, McKeon, Mul and Browner are all kaput...

Swapping Macca and Gannon is the only alternative...

TJ?

There's Kearney, TJ and Grace. I'd have them all as better options. Sure we'll just have to wait and see how it goes. Gannon was a penalty machine against Glasgow, let's hope he's copped on a bit from that game
