Good to win yesterday. We appear to be on an improved run recently L W L D W . And the losses were reasonable performances. Interesting to see some of the newer guys putting their hands up when given the opportunity. Moore was great last week and Buckley was yesterday. I thought that his scrummaging was outstanding, and while I accept his defence is a little naive, his ball carrying is also very good.
Murphy was solid at 9 yesterday but he really is performing at his lowest level for the past three years. He is not for the future.
I'm beginning to feel more confident about the future now: signing White, possibly Parks, Wilkos recent performances, McSharry's occasional brilliance, Griffen, Grace, NOC becoming more consistent, Moores excellent cameos, TOH as a scoring threat........
We have cause to be optimistic

Good to hear he performrd in the scrum anyway. Thats his bread and butter to quote rog. he can work on the rest of his game. If you compare that to archer at munster and rodney here, they are both quite good in the loose but struggle in the scrum and what good is a prop who cant scrumage! Its shows that he has concentrated on the fundamentals of his position.

delighted for Buckley, liked his attitude from 1st time i saw him in "A" game against botha and munsters 1st team starting front row. was under fierce pressure thru out but kept on battling and looked like he was enjoying himself and determined to survive. hopefully that will get him his contract.

He did well at scrumtime and looked for work, but his first up tackling was absolutely terrible,

Another big improvement. I for one with that team picked would have given this up as a lose earlier in the season. That we battled through and got a clear win is heartening. Good to see Young guns like Buckley coming through and playing to there potential.

GRACE WAS grand done his job.

murphy had a great game, well done to eric or whoever gave him that kick up the bum. slow ball once or twice but id give him 8 out of 10.

NOC had a good game only missed 1easy kick. poor guy could bearly walk of the pitch and nearly got sick doing so. hope its not serious.

buckley owned that number 1 jersey, i was worried as he is a kid still but if he stayed on a bit longer i think he would of gotten man of the match

Decent result in the end and denying them a bp was important but it was another very patchy effort. First 25 or so was very poor, Edinburgh had all the ball and when we got it back we made so many unforced errors. We picked things up coming towards the break but 10-0 flattered us. Niall O'Connor missed a sitter after ht from pretty much the same position as he missed against Harlequins but made up for it with a good kick for 13-0, but then we had to give them a soft try from the restart through a calamity of errors in getting caught on a short drop off and Gavin Duffys kick getting blocked down after we had turned it over. Got another penalty and a yellow for Edinburgh to put us in control it seemed but we switched off completely, gave Edinburgh another very soft try off first phase from the scrum and another penalty which could easily have been a try. We picked it up then ok and finished well but overall while happy with the result it was a mixed bag performance. We won because Edinburgh minus their internationals are a poor side. If the kicking was left to Paterson it would likely have been a different result.

Defensively we are competing very strongly at the breakdown but we just seem to be conceding ground with the hope of earning a turnover on the ground or in contact, we earned a few good turnovers that way but Edinburgh were going up the pitch with alarming ease at times doing nothing special. Its a dangerous tactic.

I thought NOC kicked well from penalties both from hand and from the ground bar the soft one he missed, Jarvis did ok when he came on, we looked more threatening when he was on and he pushed his two kicks through the posts. His routine seems now even more unorthodox than the two step run up. Fair play to Denis Buckley, did his cause no harm tonight, more than held his own in the majority of scrums and was willing for work, some good displays in the pack.

Lots to work on but good to get our first Rabo win since September. Need to keep pushing on now and get a few more wins to make the table look a bit better come the end of the season.

Lost radio contact also.

Great win for the team, and to deny Edinburgh a bonus point.

Would love to hear how backline were with ball in hand? NOC might be finding form with the boot by the sounds of things

Edinburgh not converting their tries and O'Connor nailing every kick kept us just a nose ahead all the way through. Good to see Matt Jarvis banging over a couple as well, a nice boost for his confidence....

16-10 after a Chris Patterson try. Jarvis on now, will hopefully boss the game from here. Denis Buckley seemed to have a great performance. Hopefully we can hold together, we cant be letting these points slip

What more does Dave Moore have to do??????? surely Murphy cannot come back from injury and go strait into the starting fifteen, absolute madness. Moore should start with Murphy comming off the bench, O'Donahue should be the one making way.
Eric is losing the plot.
